The Female Gaze — Set of 4 Original Paintings

This 4-piece Medusa collection is one of my favorite bodies of work I’ve created because it's a bold, rebellious celebration of feminine power, mythology, and unapologetic self-expression. After popular demand, every piece in this series was individually hand-painted by me with immense care, using my years of artistic training, and deep love for expressive fine art and color.

Inspired by Medusa as a symbol of female strength, each painting features empowered Medusa in heart-shaped glasses (all painted the same color red in each piece) alongside the phrase, “Petrifying the Patriarchy Since 700 B.C.” I wanted these works to feel playful, powerful, witty, and visually striking all at once, like modern feminist icons reimagined through contemporary pop-surreal fine art.

Each canvas is carefully painted by hand using layered color, intentional linework, lettering and techniques shaped through years of art education and dedication to my craft. These are not mass-produced designs, but original artwork made from countless hours of painting, refining, and obsessing over the details to create something truly unique and gallery-worthy.

The complete collection includes four vibrant colorways:

• Yellow/Purple
• Magenta/Mint
• Lavender/Teal
• Orange/Blue

Together, the four paintings create a cohesive statement wall full of bold color and energy, while each piece is also designed to stand beautifully on its own.

To finish the work, each original canvas is professionally presented in a satin black floater frame handcrafted from natural wood by artisans in America. The gallery-style framing slightly suspends the canvas so the painted edges remain visible, giving the artwork a timeless museum-quality presentation.

These paintings were created for people who love bold interiors, feminist art, mythology-inspired decor, colorful gallery walls, and artwork with personality, humor, and meaning.
