The Female Gaze (Pink)

This Magenta & Teal edition of my “The Female Gaze” Medusa series was entirely hand-painted by me with careful attention to color, composition, and expressive detail. I wanted this piece to feel bold, witty, rebellious, and empowering all at once, like modern feminist icons reimagined through contemporary pop-surreal fine art.

Featuring empowered Medusa in heart-shaped glasses (that are all painted the same color red in each painting of the set) and the phrase, “Petrifying the Patriarchy Since 700 B.C.,” this artwork transforms the once-feared mythological figure into a modern symbol of confidence, wit, and feminine power. The vibrant magenta background paired with cool teal snakes creates an electric color contrast designed to stand out as statement decor while still feeling polished and gallery-worthy.

Every brushstroke and painted detail was created by hand by me using years of artistic practice, formal art education, and a deep love for expressive fine art painting. This is not a mass-produced piece but instead, each original painting is carefully crafted with layered color, intentional linework, and a strong focus on craftsmanship and presentation.

The original canvas is professionally framed in a satin black floater frame handcrafted from natural wood by artisans in America. The floating frame design slightly separates the canvas from the moulding so the painted edges remain visible, creating a timeless museum-style finish.

This artwork is part of a collectible 4-piece Medusa collection featuring additional colorways including Yellow/Purple, Lavender/Teal, and Orange/Blue.

Perfect for collectors of feminist art, mythology-inspired decor, colorful interiors, maximalist gallery walls, and bold statement artwork with personality and humor.
