The Female Gaze (Orange)

This Orange & Blue edition of my “The Female Gaze” Medusa series was completely hand-painted by me with care, artistic precision, and years of dedicated art education behind every detail. I wanted this piece to feel bold, witty, rebellious, and empowering all at once, like modern feminist icons reimagined through contemporary pop-surreal fine art.

Featuring empowered Medusa in heart-shaped glasses and the phrase, “Petrifying the Patriarchy Since 700 B.C.,” this painting transforms mythology into a playful yet powerful statement piece. The vivid orange background contrasted with rich blue snakes creates an energetic color palette designed to instantly brighten a space and become the focal point of a gallery wall.

Every element of this artwork was painted entirely by hand by me, from the layered color and expressive brushwork to the detailed linework and composition. This is original fine art created with intention, craftsmanship, and a deep love for painting and not mass-produced decor. My years of artistic training heavily influenced the balance of color, movement, and visual storytelling throughout the piece.

The original canvas is professionally presented in a satin black floater frame handcrafted from natural wood by artisans in America. The gallery-style frame slightly suspends the canvas away from the moulding so the painted edges remain visible, giving the artwork a timeless museum-quality presentation.

This painting is part of a collectible 4-piece Medusa series featuring additional colorways including Yellow/Purple, Magenta/Mint, and Lavender/Teal.

Perfect for collectors of feminist art, mythology-inspired decor, maximalist interiors, colorful gallery walls, and statement artwork with humor, confidence, and personality.
